Dr. Hernandez
It’s rare to find a dentist who is both a passionate leader in the community and incredibly comfortable connecting with kids on their level. Meet Dr. Miguel Hernandez, a dentist who has dedicated his life to ensuring quality care for children from all walks of life. In fact, that’s why he founded Vital Smiles Georgia and MH Orthodontics; to provide more children with the very best care in a kid-friendly environment.
With more than 23 years of experience, Dr. Hernandez brings a level of experience that is unparalleled in this highly specialized field. A native of Barranquilla, Colombia, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University in 2000. He went on to play leadership roles in two other companies that were pioneers in his field.
Dr. Hernandez isn’t the only one committed to providing excellent care. From the front desk to the orthodontic assistants, treatment coordinator to the orthodontists; the staff at MH Orthodontics all specialize in the care of children from infancy to adulthood.
Today, Dr. Hernandez specializes in IV Sedation with the help of an anesthesiologist, registered nurses, and highly trained dental assistants to treat the most complex cases in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Reising
Dr. Brian Reising received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating with High Distinction. After completing dental school, he completed his Orthodontic Residency at the Ohio State University, College of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics, where he earned a Master of Science in Biology and Specialty Certification in Orthodontics. Dr. Reising has been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics. He is the practicing doctor for our Rome and Acworth locations! Dr. Reising has lived in the Atlanta area since 1999 and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.
Dr. Eichel
Dr. David Eichel is a dual-trained Orthodontist and Pediatric Dentist. He has provided high-quality orthodontic care for children and adults for over 25 years. He practiced first in Cincinnati and now back in his hometown of Atlanta since 2014. He received his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia followed by a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Connecticut and an MSD in Orthodontics from Indiana University. He has worked in both private practice and group practices and is excited to bring his experience in all facets of Orthodontics to all his patients.
Dr. Eichel has been married to Judy for over 30 years and they have 4 adult sons. Dr. Eichel is a member of The American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating, traveling, spending time with his family, and playing with his two dogs. He is also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Braves.
Dr. Tarver
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Tarver received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Harlem Hospital. He is a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also serves with the mission society DM Dental Outreach. Outside of work, Dr. Tarver enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and giving back to the community.
